Motorola Updates Ice Cream Sandwich Roadmap

Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, Verizon, Motorola,

The anticipated ICS update for the Droid RAZR/RAZR MAXX may still come before June; other users are not so lucky.

The quest for Ice Cream Sandwich has been rather slippery for most phones thus far (even Samsung’s CDMA Galaxy Nexus still runs ICS 4.0.3) but at least Motorola was courteous enough to release a fresh roadmap to ease frustrations, much to the bane of Droid X2 and Droid 3 users, however.

For RAZR/RAZR Maxx owners, the likelihood of getting that golden OTA notice is imminent if you take the infographic for what it is worth. We heard reports of Greek Motorola Razr owners receiving ICS last week, which can only mean that the update must be around the corner for domestic Droid Razr users.

As for Atrix, Atrix 2, Droid Bionic (though not listed here) Droid 4 and Droid Xyboard users, the wait will be a little longer through Q3.

Keep an eye on that screen, though. You never know–you may get a pleasant surprise.
